Renaissance man Mark Pritchard takes Eric Lau & Guilty Simpson's 'For the D' to task, giving the vocal a totally new instrumental bed, harking back to the classic proto-techno sounds of Cybotron and the like, all in a shuddering hip hop template. Fans of Marks Harmonic 313 output for Warp Records will not be disappointed. Next up is Blackpocket's 'Ure A Sta' remixed by dubstep's fastest rising star - Holland's Martyn. Detroit is once more a big influence as is the warm 2-step sound that Martyn is known to favour in his eclectic DJ sets. Plays for both sides have come from Benji B, Gilles Peterson, Kode 9, Appleblim and many many more DJs.... A fitting way to round off the first installment of the Producer series. |
